Whether you are just getting started or improving your skills, we have the courses you want. All courses here at Scuba Roatan are taught by experienced PADI Instructors. We take our jobs seriously and are sticklers for standards. That is not to say you will feel like you have just joined the army. We make learning to dive, safe, educational AND FUN. Priding ourselves on small groups, you will never be one in a crowd. We are patient and understanding of all those little fears you may have and will take all the time you need to feel confident with scuba diving. If you need some one on one we'll be more than happy to be there for you. Scuba Roatan also knows that you are on vacation, we can be flexible with schedules so you can take that island tour and lay out in the sun when the urge hits you.
To get you diving, we have 3 options for you. Each can be done separately or there is a progression from Discovering Scuba to being fully certified. We can also do combinations to accommodate the different desires within your group.
Option 1 : DISCOVER SCUBA FUN DIVING takes about 3 hours- $115 USD + tax
Have you ever wanted to try diving under the water but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course? Discover Scuba Fun Dives could be the perfect option as you will actually be doing some guided diving! During this experience, you’ll get a quick and easy introduction for how to explore the underwater world. You will then strap on the gear and begin our perfected 3-step in-water approach that progresses your from the pool to shallow water to shallow diving on our beautiful reef down at 20 feet. Once you are fully comfortable at 20 feet, our guide will take you down to 40 feet where you will see even more of what everyone has been raving about for so long!
This is a perfect option if you can only spare a short amount of time and want to try something new.
Option 2: SCUBA DIVER Usually completed over two days- $280 USD + tax
Short on time and long on the urge to become a certified diver? The PADI Scuba Diver certification might just be for you. This course requires less time than the PADI Open Water Diver course, covering only the first three of five sections of knowledge development, the first three of five pool sessions, and the first two of four open water training dives to 40 feet, resulting in a limited certification. Becoming a certified PADI Scuba Diver is a great option and allows you to dive in the future with only two primary limitations: can only dive to 40 feet and with a dive guide. And best of all, if you complete the rest of the PADI training either with us or somewhere else, you can get your full OPEN WATER DIVER certification in much less time.
Option 3: OPEN WATER DIVER 3 day experience- $380 USD + tax

And no, you don’t have to be “advanced” to take it – it’s designed so you can go straight into it after the PADI Open Water course. The Advanced Open Water Diver course helps you increase your confidence and build your scuba skills so you can become more comfortable in the water. This is a great way to get more dives under your belt while continuing to learn under the supervision of your PADI Instructor. This course builds on what you’ve learned and develops new capabilities by introducing you to new activities and new ways to have fun scuba diving.

The fun part about this course is rising to challenges and mastering them. Most divers find this course both demanding and rewarding, and at the end, say it’s the best course they’ve ever taken.

Looking for the first step in working with scuba as a career? Your adventure into the professional levels of recreational scuba diving begins with the PADI Divemaster program. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. You'll learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. You complete water skills and stamina exercises as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems as well as help other improve their scuba. You will put this knowledge into action through a structured internship or series of practical training exercises.
